Harvesting air as a pair

In this farmhouse, the existing oil-fired heating system was replaced with two interconnected air/water source heat pumps using the natural refrigerant propane. The building owner is now happy to be able to heat the farmhouse using sustainable energy and an environmentally friendly refrigerant.

Sustainable operation

In the Wenger family’s farming business, sustainability is not only important in how the farm is run, but also in the technology they use. The outdated oil-fired heating system was therefore replaced with an air/water source heat pump system.

Environmentally friendly even though it uses a refrigerant

An Aeroheat CN Dual now provides heating for the farmhouse in Oberbalm. The two cascaded heat pumps provide a dual output of 9 kW. High flow temperatures of up to 70 °C can be achieved. Propane is used as a natural refrigerant: Alongside heating with sustainable energy from the air, this aspect was also important for the building owner.

Heat pumps as a pair

Two heat pumps were cascaded to provide the necessary power. The hydraulic interior unit (HM2) ensures that, inside the building, energy from the air is pooled and transferred to the heating system.
