Extremely quiet replacement system with a sustainable refrigerant

The previous chiller had reached the end of its service life and had to be replaced. A new low-noise propane chiller was installed and commissioned in record time. The backbone of the project was the long-standing partnership with the supplier of the chiller.

Sustainable cooling technology for cheese production

Cheese production requires reliable cooling. To achieve this, the Studer cheese dairy uses a propane-based cooling system with ice storage. Thanks to its natural refrigerants, a sound and simple safety concept and regular maintenance, this system guarantees optimum quality and seamless operation.

Replacement system

Bespoke cooling solutions pay off

In addition to high-quality and financially attractive standard solutions, CTA offers its customers custom refrigeration systems that meet special requirements (capacity, regulation, installation, etc.). Although they are more expensive to purchase, they often promise savings in energy costs. And it shows: despite higher investment costs, custom refrigeration solutions are not necessarily more expensive than standard machines over their entire service life.

The former Bleiken community centre today houses three rental apartments, a fire station and some school facilities. Its old oil-fired heating system has been replaced with a modern air/water heat pump supplied by CTA.

Groundwater Heat Pump in a Single-Family Home

There is a large groundwater reserve of extremely high quality in the Aare Valley, between Thun and Bern. Part of the Münsingen community is built on this groundwater area. One neighbourhood in this community features a single-family home that uses the energy from this groundwater for heating.

Modernisation

Mini-neighbourhood heating cooperative

In a terraced house in Basel, a nano-cooperative is providing heat. This neighbourhood cooperative provides 90% of heating from renewable energy, instead of the previous 33%. This is despite the fact that gas-fired heating systems are still fitted in two of the three residential units.

Due to the public holiday, our offices will be closed on the 27th Decembre and 30th January 2025. Incoming calls will be diverted to our on-call centre. There will also be no goods receipt and issue during this time.

As a Swiss quality plant for heat pumps and refrigeration technology, sustainability is important to us – also in a social sense. Our Christmas donation this year will therefore go to the Allani children's hospice in Bern.
