How does a heat pump work? 

A heat pump works in almost all building types. Even in those with radiators. An important criteria is the age of your building. Is the building very old and not yet adequately insulated? Then we recommend that you initially invest in a building envelope (walls, roof, windows). You can then purchase a smaller and more economical heat pump at a later date, which, thanks to the building insulation, also consumes less electricity. What does a heat pump cost in Switzerland? 

How much power a heat pump requires and how high the electricity costs are depends on a number of factors. A feature of heat pumps is that they eliminate the traditional heating energy costs of fossil fuels, such as heating oil or natural gas. Instead, their costs are reflected in your electricity bill. However, they cannot be described as power-hungry.

How much electricity does a heat pump consume?

Depending on the size, power and heat pump type, the noise emission differs. From a barely audible 29 dB(A) at a distance of 1 metre to a moderately loud 60 dB(A). Today, the typical water pumps for a family home are quieter than some fridges and often barely audible.

How loud or quiet is a heat pump? 

A heat pump has a service life of 15 to 25 years. We also know of some that have been working for 40 years. A special feature of the ground source heat pump is that the thermal probe has a service life of up to 80 years.&nbsp;

All new heat pumps can be controlled using an app. A prerequisite is a functioning internet connection to the heat pump (LAN connection). For heat pumps that are already installed, whether they can be controlled by app depends on the heat pump model and any previous heat pump installations.
